This server's name, BONES, sounds like you might be playing with stone-aged weapons like animal bones, or even possibly could be used for the title of a cool new Zombie mod style gameplay. What it REALLY is named "Bones" for is because "bones" is short for the word "BAREBONES". By "bones", we mean you start with nothing but the barebones essentials to play the game. One of the most popular gameplay mods in existence today, the "bones" mod is a brilliant creation by one of our clan members and the mod is exclusive to this clan. The mod itself is comprised of a single base plugin that was written from the ground up and is not publicly accessible to download for use on other servers.
The gameplay is this:
Human Players vs AI Players (Bots) at a ratio of 3 bots to every 1 human player. The server is currently set up for only 20 slots so only 5 humans may play at a time. The bots are set at a slightly higher than normal difficulty level, but are restricted from buying AWPs, Auto Snipers, and the M249 SAW Machine Gun. Bots start with 16000 to spend on their weapons, ammo, armor, and nades. Humans start with $16000 but are completely restricted from buying ANYTHING. They are given their trusty knife, kevlar & vest, and when they are CTs, a defusal kit. Humans must complete their objectives against heavily armed bots, which requires great teamwork skills, the ability to move about QUIETLY, and learn how to kill strategically to gain the weapons you need to finish your tasks.
Now we know that old saying "You NEVER bring a knife to a gunfight", if only for the most OBVIOUS reason, which is "range to target", which is why we have equipped each human player with a little bit of a mercy gift. The damage you inflict with a knife is doubled, allowing you to plan a carefully placed "one hit kill" against your opponent and continue on.
The regular addicts (players) on this server consider themselves to be "Boneheads" and mainly frequent only this server. Once you get hooked on this game mod, you will gladly fall in line with your fellow "boneheads".
